Vezzini & Chen is born of a collaborative partnership between Christina Vezzini, who specialises in hand-crafted ceramics and Stan Chen, an accomplished glassblower. The two met and began working together whilst completing an MA at the Royal College of Art and set up Vezzini & Chen in 2013.
Having met while completing an MA at the Royal College of Art, Christina Vezzini and Stan Chen share a love for “form; geometry, texture and repetition within the ceramic, and fluid simplicity with the glass”.
The duo pay a great amount of attention to detail, with quality and craftsmanship being central to their oeuvre, of which each piece is hand made and unique. Combining both traditional skills such as glassblowing and contemporary electrical technology to form extraordinary lighting effects, Vezzini & Chen’s artworks are innovative and multi-faceted, summoning an aura of ephemerality into any space.
